Carter has grown up so much this past year. He just finished Kindergarten and did such a great job. He loved his teacher Mrs. Buell so much. Everyday when I would drop him off to play on the playground before school started I'd watch him run up to Mrs. Buell, who was always on playground duty, and give her the biggest hug. He is a lover and a snuggle boy and loves to give people hugs. He learned so much in Kindergarten and is such a smart boy. He is an excellent reader and is just starting to get that reading bug where he'll find a good book and sit on the couch and read it aloud to himself. One of my favorite things to see as a mom is Carter reading to his younger siblings. We are so proud of how hard he worked this year in class and how well behaved he was every day. On his last day of school he came up to me with teary eyes and said, "I'm so sad I'm not going to be in Kindergarten anymore, I'm going to miss Mrs. Buell so much for the next 90 days of summer." I'm glad that he has developed a love for school and learning, even if it only lasts for a couple more years.
First Day of Kindergarten seems like yesterday and at the same time seems like an eternity ago.
Received the Citizenship Award.
He has so many sweet friends in his class.
We invited some of his closest buddies to his birthday party back in February. We went to Gravady (a indoor trampoline park). The kids had a blast.
And then had doughnuts.
Bozarth Elementary's Field Day!
Carter passed off all of the required sight word lists for Kindergarten.
We love Mrs. Buell.
I got to go volunteer in the classroom several times this year and got to meet some of the other kids in his class. He was surrounded by such sweet, fun little friends.
We sure do love this boy and are excited to see what big things he does in the future.
