Hoppy Easter

The kids and I ditched Kev (who had to work) and made the trek up to Utah to spend Easter with the Robins gang.  My little sis Heidi and I planned a baby shower for our other two sisters, Angie and April who will both be having babies in the next couple weeks.  It was a lot of fun having an excuse to see all my aunts, cousins, grandma's, and friends.
We can't go to Utah without going down to Grandpa Robins' farm.  I have so many memories growing up there and it is fun to be able to share those with my kids now.  They had a blast riding the horses, feeding the cows, building a fire, and roasting hotdogs and s'mores.
I was lucky enough to be in Utah when they did the Provo City Center Temple dedication.  It was wonderful to be able to attend and witness the beginning of another one of the Lord's houses here on this earth.  I didn't get to go through the open house so i'm excited to be able to go see inside someday soon.
We had a fun Easter with my family.  Carter kept peeking out the window to see if the Easter Bunny had come yet.  Luckily he finally came and we had a fun Easter hunt where the kids got WAY more candy then they'll ever be able to eat.  All in all, the week was a big success.

Although McKay loved my parents dog, Bane, he didn't really appreciate Bane always licking his face.

My little cowboy and cowgirl.

Don't all cowboys wear shredded straw hats?

Carter and Uncle Adam building a fire.

Carter's great grandpa Robins taught him all about taking care of the cows.

And Hayden loved brushing the horses hair.

Speaking of brushing hair.  Poor Heidi has been super sick for almost 2 weeks.  After a couple of days of being very sick in bed, she asked me to come over and brush through her hair.  It was basically a giant dread lock.  I brushed for 2 hours and still didn't get it all out.

She ended up having to snip a couple little knots out.  Bless her heart.

Sunday dinner.  McKay was just part of the gang.

Hayden and Carter loved decorating Easter eggs.  Aunty Ang helped Hayden.

While Aunty Ape helped Carter.

My kids are pretty lucky to have such awesome aunts and uncles.

This boy loved playing outside even though it was a bit chilly.

Hunting for eggs.

I hope you all had a Hoppy Easter, and were able to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of our Savior.  What a blessing it is to know that because of Him we can all live again!

  1. Love it. Wish I could have spent more time with you and your kiddos! Also, I don't deserve a single ounce of credit for planning the baby shower. Hahaha!
