Christmas Festivities

Christmas this year was extra special because it was our first time waking up Christmas morning in our own home.  Up until this year we've always been at one of our parents' house.  It was so much fun waiting for the kids to wake up and filming them running down the stairs to the presents under the tree, just like my parents did when I was a kid.  It is so much fun being on the other end as a parent and watching the excitement of my kids as they set out cookies and milk for Santa and open their stockings and presents the next morning.  Christmas truly is so magical.

Carter did lots of fun Christmas activities with his preschool group.

He loves learning and loves his fun preschool friends. 

We went to Lowe's and Home Depot and did their Kids Workshops.  

We event got to meet the Big Guy.....

TWICE!!!!

Grandma and grandpa came over and made Christmas ornaments with us.

We had fun bundling up for our neighborhood Christmas party.

Christmas was with the Sagers this year and we had a blast doing lots of activities with them.  From decorating gingerbread houses....

...to acting out the nativity......

....and, of course, getting presents.

While we were sleeping Santa came to our house.

Hayden loved her monster slippers, Daniel Tiger, dress ups, princess shoes, winter hat, etc.

Carter loved his new cars, ninja turtle, doctor kit, candy, etc

Thank you grandmas, grandpas, cousins, friends, and Santa for our wonderful gifts.  

And to top it all off, it was a "white" Christmas in Vegas.  Which hardly ever happens.  It truly was a magical day indeed.

 We are so grateful for this time of year and the chance we get to think more of our Savior's birth, life, and atonement for each of us.  What a blessing it has been for me and my family.  I hope you all had a Merry Christmas as well.
