Is it really 2014? I remember being in 6th grade when the year 2000 came and thinking it was so crazy and cool that it was 2000's now. Where has time gone? Am I really getting that old? Sheesh. Well, it has been a wonderful year for our family. With Kevin continuing his long road through medical school, moving to beautiful Arizona, Carter learning and growing and making us so happy, and of course, the soon to be arrival of our little girl (due in 6 days). What more could we ask for?
I love making resolutions. I love typing up a list, putting it on cute paper, and hanging it where i'll see it everyday. Whether or not I actually stick to it is another story. Kevin thinks New Years Resolutions are a little silly, not because he doesn't believe in setting goals or improving yourself, but he doesn't think we need a holiday to make that happen. We should continuously be working to better ourselves. While he's definitely right, I still like to do resolutions always. haha.
Here are a COUPLE of the one's we're working on...
Family: Morning and Evening prayers everyday (Evenings are easy, but in the hustle and bustle of the mornings it's easy to forget to say family prayers).
Kevin: Be more patient with Carter (when he takes crayons to the walls, just remember, he could have done something a lot worse).
Mindy: Read 1 book a month (every year I try to be a more avid reader and never do too well...this is MY year).
Carter: Learn how to go potty in the toilet (I don't even know where to start with this one, but here goes nothing).
We had a fun New Years Eve, we went on a fun hike with our cousins. Later that evening we got together with our friends the McDowells. We had pizza, dessert, and played games. Carter loved playing with his best bud Owen all night. It was the perfect way to ring in the new year.

oh yeah!! we get to do potty training this year too...fun fun, let me know what works for y'all!
