I think I say it every summer but is there anything better then a nice, long, relaxing week at Lake Powell? I don't think so. At the end of July the Robins crew headed to Lake Powell for a week of sun, sand, and skiing. It was extra fun this year because we had almost the whole Robins family there, minus a couple husbands who had to work. All of the grandkids were together. That's 20 grandkids all under the age of 9. To say it was a little chaotic would be a huge understatement. In my family chaotic always equals fun though. My kids had so much fun playing with cousins, building sand castles, doing the ski skimmer, going tubing, building a big shrub fire, making crafts, and sleeping under the stars. We look forward to this trip every year and already can't wait until next summer.
The kids loved sitting in the shade of the house boat and painting rocks.
Hayden got up on the ski skimmer for the first time this year. She was extremely nervous but LOVED it once she worked up the courage and gave it a try.
Squishing in the mud.
Hayden loves her cute cousin Nora.
Building sand castles.
Little Paigey loved digging in the sand.
The girls had a blast getting their hair braided and beaded.
Cannonball contests, diving contests, and trick contests.
Paige was glad Bane got to come on the trip as well. They were best buds.
Just relaxing with my girl.
We love when daddy gets to take a long break from work and play with us. He is such a fun dad.
This is the sign that the kids are having a good time.....when they zonk out for a loooong nap.
We'll see you next year Lake Powell.
