Our little Paige

Welp, we're officially a family of 6 now.  So crazy!  Our little Paige joined the gang on February 17th.  Measuring 7.7lbs and measuring 17in.  Here is a little recap of her birth story.
I was scheduled to be induced on February 17th at 12:01am.  Yep, the middle of the night.  Unfortunately, about two hours before we were going to head in, the hospital called and said they needed to push me back because all the beds were full.  Uhh.....  I tried to get some sleep, but it's kind of difficult to sleep when you're waiting for a phone call to come in and have your baby.  Needless to say, I didn't sleep much.  We finally got called in at 11:00am that day.  I couldn't wait!  I was so excited to get this baby out I didn't feel one bit nervous going in.  I just wanted to meet this little girl.
We got in and around 2:00 they finally got me all hooked up and started on a low dose of pitocin.  Over the next several hours as I couldn't to dilate they slowly gave me a bit more piton.  I was able to get my epidural pretty early on so I didn't have to go through too much pain with the contractions.  Hallelujah!  There's nothing worse then having awful contractions and lying there wondering what in the world is taking the anesthesiologist so long.
I got my epidural and was pain-free heaven.  Our doctor came in to check on me and then told us he was going to go out to dinner with his wife and would be back in an hour.  I was a little concerned because I knew that if this baby was anything like my others then when it was ready to come it was going to come fast.
Sure enough 45 minutes later at 7:00pm my water broke.  The monitor started beeping after my water broke because the babies heart rate had dropped.  The nurses rushed in to check on me.  They said we needed to get the baby out right now.   I thought my doctor was still out to dinner but luckily he got caught up checking on other patients and hadn't even left yet.  Such a blessing in disguise because I needed to push the baby out quickly.  My doctor ran in, saw the babies heart rate had dropped and he got everything ready super fast.  At 7:04, after 2 pushes,  Paige entered the world.  She was absolutely perfect.  We feel so blessed and couldn't possibly love this girl anymore.

Right before "go-time".

She's finally here.

Lots of dark hair just like Hayden had.

The first of many loooong nights.

The kids were so excited to come meet baby sis.  They've been asking for the past 5 months when sister was going to come.

Carter and Hayden are so good with her.

McKay didn't seem too interested in her.

Finally coming home. I love how teeny newborns look in carseats.

Once we got home McKay seemed a little more interested in her.  He has been so good with her and loves giving her kisses and pats on the head.

Sister love!

We sure do love this girl and are grateful Heavenly Father sent her to our family.
