My Valentines

Valentines Day just keeps getting better and better each year.  It was certainly lots of fun for me when I was dating, engaged, and newly married, but now that I have a husband and kids to celebrate with, my heart just keeps getting more and more full.
Kevin and I went out to an Italian restaurant the day before Valentines to beat the crowds.  I love being able to have a couple hours to sit and talk with Kev.  He just makes me happy.

On Valentines Day we woke up and I made some heart shaped french toast for the kids.  It's amazing how the simplest things can make a kid so excited.  Carter loved them, Hayden didn't care about the hearts, that girl just loves food, like her mama.  (Kevin just got square french toast, sorry babe)

Carter and I made some love monsters.

We painted family Valentines for each other.

We made chocolate dipped strawberries/bananas.  My favorite.

That evening we had some cousins over and watched a movie and ate a heart shaped pizza.

And to finish off our day of love...and food.....we ate a heart red-velvet cake.
