Kev and I have been having a great Christmas season so far. Even though he still has one more week of school before he can REALLY relax and enjoy this wonderful time of year, we've still managed to squeeze in a lot of fun activities. I haven't taken a lot of pictures but here are some things we've been up to
*We got together with friends and made some cute gingerbread houses.
*We watched the movie, "Elf" with friends.
*At cooking club we made some yummy holiday treats (Almond Bark Bars).
*I went to a fun SAA (a club for the spouses of the med-students) Christmas party that had AMAZING food and a cute ornament gift exchange.
*We participated in an "Adopt a Child" activity where we were assigned a child we got to hang out with, do activities/crafts with, eat pizza with, and take to Wal-mart to pick out a Christmas present. We had a cute 14 year old boy named Nicholas that was a lot of fun to hang out with. He and Kev liked playing basketball together. We had a great time participating and are grateful we could help someone else out at this time of year.
*The SAA participated in the local "Angel Tree" program so Kev and I were able to help with wrapping lots and lots of presents for kids.
*We learned some beautiful Christmas songs in ward choir that we got to sing in our Ward Christmas program.
We're grateful for this time of year when we remember the birth of our savior and focus on reaching out to others. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
